Life’s too short.
Tonight I learnt my best friends mum has been given two years to live, before the incurable cancer takes over. Another friend’s boyfriend tried committing suicide, last night.
Some people’s lives have been given a deadline, while other’s try making their own.
This might not be tied with a bow, there may be tough times, but life is still a gift.
Life’s is short. And maybe my approach is too laid back. Maybe I let people come and go as they please. Disappear and reappear, then leave once again. Maybe I don’t care enough, or maybe I care too much.
Everything happens for a reason, and we aren’t always meant to understand the reasons why.
Sometimes we have to make things happen, sometimes we have to let things happen.
If someone’s meant to be in your life, they will. Paths will intertwine, again.
If there’s a lesson to be learnt, you will. Even if that means temporarily facing pain.
Life’s too short to wake up with regrets. You can’t always please everyone. And even if you do, chances are you’ll be the one who ends up hurt.
Follow your heart, even if it takes you somewhere you’re not supposed to be. Take your own chances and find your own answers.
Live each day like it’s your last.
Why?
Cause one day it will be.
